Job Description

The Technician II position is a hands-on role that will work closely with the Technician III (Foreman) and other Installation Technicians on a variety of field service functions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead an installation crew of 1 - 2 technicians when requested.
Daily communication of site progress with Foreman/Tech 3 and/or Construction Manager and customer if required.
Installation of various RF components, such as coax installation, connectors, grounding, weatherproofing, supports, alarming, splitters, fiber optic cable, CAT6 cable, and other components.
Assist with Sweep, PIM, and Fiber testing per company MOP or customer specified MOP.
Assist with troubleshooting new and existing In-Building DAS systems to identify failures or configuration issues and correct as needed.
Communicating and coordinating with upper-level technicians and management related to specific safety, local codes, and Company installation requirements.
Mentoring and leading less experienced technicians.
Preferred Experience:
Competent in Computer skills such as IP interfaces to GUI programmable systems.
Possess various certifications from equipment manufacturers and have the willingness to learn new systems.
Conduct Pre & Post install RF signal readings per NFPA/IFC fire code requirements utilizing spectrum analyzer, PC-Tel scanner, and/or two-way radios.
Working knowledge of RF test equipment, certifications are a plus.
