Job Description
Purpose and Scope:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the flow of all warehouse operations, product shipping and storage, along with the supply chain-purchasing, inventory and logistics. 
Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees in safe and efficient warehouse operations, including wrapping, labeling, and packaging, and all inbound and outbound shipments.
  •  Ensures all inventories on hand are handled properly including warranty procedures and scrap loads. 
  • Maintains vehicles and facility in a regular, organized manner. 
  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures, enforces good shipping and storage practices, and exhibits and ensures all safety standards. 
  • Receives trucks and unloads merchandise. 
  • May dispatch drivers and/or drive/deliver hotshot or regular loads, as needed. 
  • Manages vendor relations. 
  • Keeps current on new products and market trends while sourcing new and better products, vendors, and material suppliers. 
  • Oversees entry in the reporting system of job specific pricing and issuance of initial purchase orders. 
  • Regularly monitors and reports on material increases/decreases. 
  • Develops supply chain strategies to accomplish objectives of Operations and Sales departments. 
  • Adapts inventory requirements and levels according to changes to scope of work and new product implementation. 
  • Identifies areas for cost savings and supply chain opportunities. 
  • Makes provisions for sufficient spare part inventory based on warranty rates and production fall-out. 
  • Leads and directs all inventory-based activities, including cycle counts; monitors for transaction accuracy, observing current inventory levels and the presence of slow moving or obsolete inventory. 
  • Ensures adherence to administrative procedures and that proper documentation, as required, is on file.

Job Competency / Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent, required. Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management, preferred. 
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite. 
  • Experience with SAGE 500, strongly preferred. 
  • Experience with ERP, preferred. 
  • Forklift certified is a plus. 
  • OSHA certification a plus.
 
 
 
  • 2-3 Years of experience preferably involving warehousing and supply chain management. 
  • 1-2 Years supervising the work of others.
