Purpose and Scope:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the daily activities in the Accounting department. They analyze, record, track and audit financial information. They also manage and motivate accounting staff.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Schedules and assigns tasks to staff.
- Assesses current practices and procedures and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions.
- Develops staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
- Helps with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closings and reporting.
- All other duties as require.

Education/ Training:
- Experience working with mutiple divsions within company.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and spreadsheets.
- Experience with SAGE 500 or Dynamics Business Central.
- Construction industry experience is preferred.
Compensation: $85 - $95K
