Our areas of expertise are Site acquisition, Architecture, engineering & design, Project & construction management, Installation & maintenance, Product Sales & Distribution
This is an entry-level position. To proceed to the next level, the following abilities, skills, and requirements must be established upon new employment. Individuals in this position should have good attention to detail, skills, and the ability to follow directions and receive on-the-job training.
Within 90 days of hire:
o Become proficient with MIS paperwork, policies & procedures.
o Thorough understanding of ½' Coax (Andrew & Trilogy), CAT 5/6, RJ6 & RJ11 cable installation procedures and standards.
o A thorough understanding of a DAS's basic components and purposes is utilized for.
o Thorough understanding of tools required to perform installation duties (basic & specialty tools)
Within 6 months:
o Understanding of different test equipment & practices used in the industry:
o Basic RF understanding
o Basic Understanding of NFPA & IFC codes and requirements pertaining to the installation.
o Basic understanding of Test Equipment i.e. (Anritsu, Fluke, OTDR, Coaxial Sweep testing, Fiber, Cat 5/6, signal testing)
o Basic understanding of how DAS Equipment works.
o Basic understanding of fusion splicing techniques.
o Proficient at all basic DAS and Structured Cabling install techniques and practices
Within 1 year - Familiarity / Exposure to the following technologies:
o Familiarity and proficiency at the Installation and cabling for various DAS and Structured Cabling systems
o Familiarity with closeout documentation requirements and ability to collect required information.
