Job Description
Purpose and Scope:
The Lead Electrician position is responsible for building, troubleshooting and maintaining AC and DC power systems for Cellular Wireless Telecommunications sites.Training for DC systems will be provided but, we expect knowledge and experience on AC power.  
Responsibilities include but not limited to: read single line diagrams, troubleshoot AC 120v, 240v, 480v distribution panels, transformers, meters etc.  Install and repair conduits EMT, rigid, PVC etc. Install DC power plants, battery backup systems, solar panels, and any related power systems.
This is an unsupervised field position working alone or in a team reporting to a field supervisor or department manager.

Work hours will vary depending on customer requirements to keep critical telecommunications infrastructure running.                  
Responsibilities:
  • Ensures all required paperwork is submitted to complete jobs daily.
  • Ensures safe transportation of personnel and material to and from remote job sites daily.
  • Ensures all Federal, State and local laws are followed at all times.
  • Ensures compliance with both company and customer policies at all times.
  • Installs, troubleshoots and removes battery power systems, batteries, A panels, transformers, generators, alarms and various interconnect/transport equipment.
  • Reads single line diagrams.
  • Troubleshoots power plant, transformer and generator systems.
  • Diagnoses customer alarms.
  • Properly removes and installs various battery systems and basic preventative maintenance skills required in cellular sites.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, as required.
  • All other duties as required.

Work Environment:
  • Field work, outdoor and indoor, alone and/or in a team. 
  • The work to be performed at cellular communications sites throughout Arizona.
  • Sitting/standing for long periods of time. 
  • Lifting up to 60 lbs. 
  • Climbing stairs and ladders as necessary, operation of equipment /machinery required. 
  • Must be able towork and climb on cell towers of various heights. 
  • Work safely at a fast pace.
Education and Training:
  • High School Diploma, Arizona Electrical Cert a plus.
  • Time management and organizational skills required.
  • Working knowledge and/or understanding of low voltage.
  • Ability to comprehend a detailed scope of work (SOW).
 
Technical Requirements:
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting and maintaining AC power of 120v, 240v, 480v, single and 3phase.
  • Good understanding of Process of Elimination for troubleshooting.

Compensation: $25-30/hr
 
Successful candidates will be required to submit to a criminal background check.
