Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Operate Micro-trench machine equipment, including moving throttles and levers to control the speed of rotary tables, observing the pressure gauge, and regulating tool pressure at the bottoms of the trench.
  • Determine depths of trench.
  • Control gasoline, diesel or electric controls by pushing brake pedals and levers to lower and raise casings.
  • Adjust and maintain machinery for proper performance, repairing or replacing defective parts, and cleaning and oiling pulleys, cables, and blocks
  • Keep records of trench footage, nature and location of penetrated ground conditions, tools and materials used, services rendered, and amount of time required to complete each task
  • Reporting on trench completed.
  • Must be able to take full responsibility equipment
  • Must be presentable and be able to communicate on all levels

Work Environment:
  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking and driving
  • Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, humid, and rainy during all seasons throughout the year
  • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
  • Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats and high visible vest when working on-site

Schedule:
  • 10 hour shifts
  • Monday through Friday
  • Job Type: Full-time
Experience:
  • Must have experience on the micro-trencher and construction equipment
  • Learn various job-related software programs
  • Good control precision, manual dexterity, and arm-hand steadiness
  • Track Record of completed Microtrenching Projects/ Projects worked on with references.
Requirements:
  • 3 years or more experienced on a Micro Trenching Machine.
  • 2+ years of experience in the utilities field
  • 2+ years of experience operating locator systems for dirt drill bore machines and any other heavy equipment needed in the underground utility field, such as; backhoes, trenches, shovels, ladders, etc.
  • Class A CDL is required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required 

Compensation: $28-$40/HR + Benefits
