Job Description:

  • The OSP Superintendent is responsible for directly overseeing OSP projects.
  • Oversees daily project work, including above and below-ground installations, hub and node construction, and related utility make-ready. Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with department manager.
  • Manages the process for related permitting, pole or conduit licensing requirements from utility companies.
  • Coordinates and gains any required approvals regarding construction activities with governmental/regulatory agencies.
  • Manages external vendors ensuring timely delivery and meeting budgetary allowances.
  • Orders and tracks third party materials.
  • Manages the schedule, subcontractors and oversees site construction.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential issues and/or cost implications, and confers on contingency plans.
  • Leads team meetings, analyzes reports, and troubleshoots problem areas.
  • Performs quality Inspections.
  • Manages and coaches employees.
  • Acts as single point-of-contact for client communication, executing to meet customer needs and improving the overall customer experience.
  • Prepares accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
  • Ensures completion of all project-related invoicing.
  • Stays abreast of current trends and emerging developments within the industry.
  • Communicates newly discovered or determined opportunities for business.
  • All other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Years of experience involving both outside and inside plant involving aerial and underground construction.
  • 2 Years of management experience in a telecommunications environment, preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, plus negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Critical and analytical thinker.
  • Problem-solver.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Clean and current Driver's license (MVR check) in the applying State
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree or certificate in Construction or related area.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite 
  • PMP certification, strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of rules governing work in the public right-of-way and on private property
  • Working knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards.
  • Able to read and understand A&E drawings.
  • Able to diagnosworkflow and critical path problems and institute remedies

Compensation: $90-95K
